Haven’t done this in so long!  I’ve missed the Art Game!

Betty Boop has a pet!

Bookworm is the Devil

I’m addicted to a game on my iPhone.  It’s called Bookworm.  For the record, I am officially an ULTRA BOOKWORM.  Thought you might want to know that.

Here is the little bastard that keeps me up half the night.

Looks innocent enough but trust me, he’s evil.

Bookworm 1

During the course of “x” number of games (if I had to guess I’d say the number was somewhere in the trillions), I often end up inventing words in an effort to rack up more points or beat those damn flaming tiles.  I wrote a few of them down and have come to the conclusion these non-words should actually be legitimate and added to Webster’s dictionary.  I’ve even come up with meanings.

1.  TWUK (n.):  a new-fangled pair of tweezers that don’t make you want to scream like an idiot every time you pluck your brows.

2.  CLOFF (adj.):  a term used to describe an individual who gets pissed off because they can’t figure out time zones to save their lives (this may or may not apply to me).

3.  HOWEL (n.):  the last towel you stole from a hotel.

4.  QUOG (n.):  a vicious, interplanetary, cross-breed species of duck and hog trained for combat.

5.  THUB (adj.):  the sound my boobs will make when they finally, one day, hit the floor when I get out of bed in the morning.

6.  SNOX (n.):  A disposable, sock-like device that can be worn on the hand during flu and cold season for blowing your nose.

7.  CHOWIE (adj.):  really, super hungry.

All useful, I believe.  Don’t you?

Did you laugh?  Smile?  Chortle out loud?  Good.  Now that you’re in a good mood, do me a favor.  My friend Nicki is trying to raise money to help those who are living with AIDS/HIV.  This is a super-extra worthy cause and for every dollar she gets, Penn & Teller will match.  $5 becomes $10, $10 becomes $20 and so forth.  Even a $1 donation will help so PLEASE consider supporting her effort.  She’s a kick-ass chick!  I’m proud of her.  THANK YOU!!

Let’s Create an Album Cover

Snagged this one from The She Chronicles who snagged it from Edward Hotspur.  Fun stuff.  🙂

Okay, let’s Create An Album Cover. There are three steps to this – a Band Name, an Album Title, and an Album Cover Photo.

1) Go to Wikipedia. Click on Random Article. The title of this article is your band’s name. You could refresh if the title is especially hideous.

2) Choose a number between 3 and 7, inclusive. Go to Google searching for Random Quotes. Randomly click on an entry on the first page, and once on the page, go down the number you picked. That’s your quote. Choose consecutive words anywhere in that quote equal to the number you picked. That’s your album title.

3) Go to Google again and insert the words you didn’t use for your album title. Search for large images. Go down 6 rows. Choose the first picture that doesn’t already have words on it. That’s your album pic.

4) Go to Pixlr. Edit together your picture, band name and album title. There’s your album cover! Then put it in the comments, or make your own post. If you don’t want to use Pixlr, use whatever you want.

And here is my result…

UPDATE to “Why! It’s a Major Award!” & THIS IS FUNNY!

One of the questions I answered for the Super Sweet Blogging Award:

5. If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?

People, THIS IS A TATTOO ON MY BACK…Can you read it?  It says CANDY PANTS!  I had FORGOTTEN about it!  This was my nickname for years!!!  Doesn’t get much sweeter than that, does it?

I am so laughing!!!!  Thank you Denise!

Tattoo 2

Why! It’s a Major Award!

I’m always so incredibly honored when someone nominates me for a blogger award.  It’s so humbling to know that people take time to read what I’ve written when half the time even I don’t want to read it.  The support and friendship I’ve found since I began this blog a year ago has just been so amazing and I thank all of you!

Two days ago, CamsGranny nominated me for the Super Sweet Blogging Award.  This means so much to me.  A lot of people would use a lot of words to describe me.  I’m not sure sweet would be one of them!  So THANK YOU to her for seeing past my gruff exterior.  🙂

Now I’ve got some questions to answer…

1. Cookies or cake?   What the hell?!  I have to choose?!  Well hell.  If my back is up against the wall, I’m going to go with cake.  Especially birthday cake.  The kind with the big fluffy icing that is spread on about 2 inches thick.  Yea.  That’s the ticket!

2. Chocolate or vanilla.  ALWAYS chocolate.

3. What is your favorite sweet treat:  cheesecake or frozen yogurt ?   Definitely cheesecake.  Yogurt is like a little tub of slimey crap.

4.When do you crave sweet things the most?   Can you say P – M – S?!

5. If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?   I just laughed.  I truly have no idea.  Nicknames I’ve had over the years – Busty, Sleazy, Lis, Metal Goddess, Queen of Metal, Mistress of Metal…none of those provoke sweet images, do they?  I’m screwed.  OH!  Last minute update!  I posed this question on FB and had a friend respond with “Hello Kitty.”  So there.  That’s pretty nice, eh?  OH!  Another update from FB…Mistress Lisa.  That’s more of a whip & chains kind of image isn’t it?  Now I’m a little worried.  One more FB update:  Lustrous Lisa…SO much better!

Now I am to nominate a “Baker’s Dozen.”  My choices are:

1.  All About Lemon

2.  Cam’s Granny (I can nominate who nominated me right?  B/c she is sweet!)

3.  Mystery Coach

4.  J. Aurora Morealist

5.  Running Naked with Scissors

6.  How to Date Boys

7.  A Life Continued

8.  Thin Spiral Notebook

9.  The Risible Rambler

10.  Guapola

11.  Janna T. Writes

12.  Freedom to a Full Life

13.  Thoughts, Ramblings, and Daydreams

Now, it’s up to all of you if you wish to play along and nominate your own sweet bloggers.  I’m not going to put the pressure on you or anything like that but if you choose to do so, the rules are:  (1) acknowledge the person who nominated you, (2)  answer the SWEET questions, (3)  nominate a Baker’s Dozen.  That’s it!

Happy Monday!
